Mike Tam works with organizations to develop brands, visual communications and user interfaces. Using his strong understanding of traditional design principles, and his extensive experience with interactive technologies that range from content rich websites to mobile devices, he focuses on creating meaningful experiences that help people understand complex systems and information.
Since 1996, he has helped some of the world's leading companies and organizations, including Apple, HP, IBM, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Orange, Plantronics, Sony, Symantec and Yahoo, design many innovative products and services.
Mike is currently with Apple. His prior roles have included being a independent design consultant, a user interface designer at IBM-Rational, and a senior visual interface designer at AlbenFaris.
He holds a BS in graphic design with honors from San Jose State University, and is a part-time design instructor at SJSU.
